Wow! Nuns who blog. How cool is that?
Was I ever excited to see that my favorite charity, The Community of the Holy Spirit, has begun to blog! Talk about an endorsement for blogging.
It really doesn’t surprise me, because I have personally known this group of nuns for more than 20 years. They really do strive to serve the greater community in both New York City and throughout the United States. I just can’t say enough good about their hospital visits, their service in soup kitchens, their individual music ministries, and now their technical savvy.
For the past two years I have been admiring their quarterly newsletter, AweWakenings, which has a wonderful layout and design done by Sister Claire Joy. Was I ever excited to read in the Fall/Advent 2005 issue that three of the nuns had started blogs. What a surprise! There was no mention of an upcoming blog in my last personal note from the Sisters.

I understand that each one of the three began a blog for a different reason. Well whatever the reason, the blogs are all well designed, and the writing is well contemplated and reflective.
So if you’ve been thinking about putting up a blog and were undecided. Consider it “habit” forming.
